Flowers in Living Color

HUW Challenge Artwork

After seeing this living room by Rachel Reider, I took inspiration from her color palette.  Mixing both cool and warm tones together through artwork and accessories against a neutral background appealed to me.  One item that I absolutely loved was the watercolor floral artwork she chose to put over the fireplace.  While I have no fireplace, I wanted to incorporate the colorful piece over my sofa.  After months of keeping an eye out for art that would fill my floral need, I found a piece at Home Goods.

My design concept sheet for the artwork keeps me dialed in to what I need to complete the look without straying from my ultimate goal.

Since this art piece has so many colors in it, I can pull from it for more accessories.  It just screams FUN!
